Description

Project Proposal:

Within 2 months of the course start date, based upon your initial Project discussion with your sponsor, submit the Project Proposal to your mentor for approval.

Once a project has been approved by the mentor, it is recommended that you complete the Project Charter Template provided or use your own in-house project charter template if your organization has one (Project Charter will be Appendix 1 of your Final Project).

Remember! Your Mentor is available to support you in the course material and in the development of your project.

Final Project:

There are four (4) deliverables to the final project.

  1. Project Proposal - must be submitted to your mentor within 1 month of the start date of the course
  2. Project Charter (Appendix 1 in Final Project)
  3. Executive Summary (First page of the Final Project)
  4. Final Project Report (including the Black Belt report cover sheet and Student and Financial Representative Sign Off sheet)

The executive summary is a summary of your lean journey and provide an overview of the results achieved.  It should contain the following sections:  strategic relevance, impact on organization – both qualitative and quantitative, challenges encountered, tools used and deliverables.
